How do You connect to Your Intuition and Spiritual Team?

Do you do something to connect every day?

I use many different methods to connect. I don’t always know what will work at any given time, so I have learned several ways. Plus, it helps me be more flexible with communicating to myself, my Spiritual Team and even the People around me! I got stuck in an area and needed to use ALL my methods and try New ones too! (fyi we all go through this… that is NORMAL. If you find yourself here sometimes, you are NOT broken, just needing a break and perceptive shift)

Here is my most recent example...

Spent many, many months in an art slump. I couldn’t bring myself to doodle, color or make any kind of art at all. I felt stuck and even paralyzed anytime I wanted to just TRY. And that frustrated the hell outta me. I had to stop myself from getting mad at myself for this. I started falling into the idea that anything I create just sucks and it won’t look how I want it too anyways, so why bother?

Thing is… we can get this way with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. We have to give ourselves Compassion and Understanding in these moments. They are just Moments… They do go away… eventually. We never want to force these things. However, we can be more intentional about removing any Pressure on us for “performing well” or making something “perfect”. Once we begin to feel less pressure, that inspiration or even the ability to create can flow back in!

I have been working on releasing that pressure for some time now. Had to take much of Jan off due to my own and kiddo’s illnesses. That REALLY made me learn how to give myself compassion for not “doing all the things”. Healing and Recovering can be a full-time job sometimes. And that is Ok.

What does this have to do with Connecting?

When we begin to Remove the Pressures, the “it won’t work”, the “I suck at all this” type thinking… we gain clarity and more ability to connect!

Then, Start Small!!!

I got the inspiration (again… it comes and goes often lol) to create a Sigil. That is a symbol that means something to me. It holds the Energy of an Intention. I began just by thinking about the kind of Sigil I wanted to create. Well…. I had been having a TON of trouble connecting to my artistic side…. And that IS a Part of Me…. So…. Why not a sigil to help me get more ‘Connection to the Self’. (in article graphic and below) I wanted it more general so anyone would be able to utilize this symbol for their purposes. Eventually I want to paint it with a cool background on paper or canvas. I sat with this idea for a few days. No Pressure attached. It still felt right after that time.

Began to think about symbols that mean Connection to me. I also wanted to incorporate symbols that made it more stylized and artsy as opposed to just functional. (those are fantastic as well!!!) Thought about what connecting to my deepest self-meant to me as well and how could I express that anyways?

This entire process took over two weeks… I am sure it has been in the back of my mind for quite some time before this.

I did a short meditation to Connect to my Intuition, my Spiritual Team and my Inner Creative Center so I could gain some inspiration. That was the intention I set before meditating. I use music to aid me. (you can use any tools that help You too!!!) I did this for several days in short spurts.

Started doodling and researching the WHY of my proposed symbols to see if they really fit for what I am wanting. Here is what I came up with:

Arrow pointing upwards is also the Rune Tiwaz
Upwards for looking up and ahead. Tiwaz has several meanings. A few really stood out for me.
Courage- we need courage to think outside the box and get creative. Try New Ways to Connect. To Express.
Strength- we need to be strong of will and mind to be able to unlearn the limiting beliefs we hold about ourselves and what we are conditioned to believe. Many of these actually hold us back from Connecting at the deep levels of our Intuition. Mainly because we are taught not to trust our intuition.
Protection- this Rune holds the Energy of Protection. It is vital that we create a safe space for us to explore who and how we really are while unlearning the old crap. This also applies to helping our Nervous System feel safe and secure as we do this. The more secure we feel, the more comfy we get in exploring and then expressing our creative sides.

Infinity Symbol
To me, this symbol reminds me that We are Connected to the Infinite Creative Source. The loops of this symbol show that we move in cycles, and that is Normal and Ok. Ups and Downs are expected as we are Humans who experience Emotions in all they are. We are also Connected to the Divine in the tiniest of ways to the most expansive of ways. (think the smallest quantum particles to the largest of Nebulae)

Spirals that flow Up and Down
Spirals symbolize our interconnectedness to all things. To all that is Divine and Earthy. All at once. I wanted them to symbolize Above and Below as well. We dream big and reach high just as we also dig deep to uncover and shed illumination within ourselves.

Triple Moon
The moon represents the subconscious realms within us. We connect to this space to be able to dream, imagine, feel emotions and create art of all kinds. It often speaks to us in symbolism instead of logic. Speaking directly to our Intuition. It shows three phases as we all go through phases in our life.

Sun
The sun represents the conscious parts of us. It brings illumination and vitality. It helps give us the energy needed to create and express.

Stars
We wish upon the stars. We try to reach for the stars as we Dream Big and explore our options and our creativity. We lie under the stars to search for meaning or just feel like we are a part of something larger than just us. Friendly reminder… WE ARE!

The color choices also were intentional for me. However, when I begin painting this… may modify a bit to add metallic colors and other flair. Here is one of my colorful concept doodles for this using metallic paint markers:

I hope this gives you some comfort when you feel like things are not flowing the way you thought they would. I wrote this as a helpful guide in the hope of giving you some steps to try when you feel stuck. As well as a reminder that sometimes slow is better… May not feel better in those moments… but it can help a LOT more than we think. In a world that values quickness and overload of information, slowing down helps us Connect on the Deeper Levels so we can Open up to our Intuition more effectively.
