Lugh is a Celtic Deity with many stories about his deeds, accomplishments and areas of influence. He is known for his Warrior Skills, Fair Leadership, Justice, skills in Artisan Crafts of all kinds, and for the Harvest. Lughnasadh (Aug 1st in the Northern Hemispheres) is Celebrated to honor Lugh, his Foster Mother and the Harvest itself. He is said to be a Master in many areas. Seriously, read up on him. Super Fascinating!!!!

As someone with so many interests, myself, I found kinship with Lugh. I joined and retired from the Army. I Love all things Arts and Crafts and was super bummed when I grew up and was told to “put away childish things…” After I had kids, I rekindled my love for much of what I had to put away. Lugh also encouraged me to keep exploring! Have Fun with it all! Not just for the kiddos, but for myself as well!

When I thought of people in Positions of Authority, I tended to see them similar to what I found in the Military. Many who were very strict, disciplined and seeming Unfeeling. Stoic. Logical. No room for any kind of Whimsy or sense of Adventure at all. Lugh helped me change those perceptions with myself. To be more Authentic to My Heart, My own Unique Whimsy and sense of FUN. I found that having more Fun while learning and growing has led to a great many more breakthroughs that just discipline alone. I leaned into my interests and “whims” and found new Adventures to go on that led me to feeling Joy! Thriving in new ways, that made My Heart feel like it is Soaring!

Lugh showed me the ADHD part of myself, that while it can be viewed as a disfunction… it can also lead me to learning about what truly Excites me and gets me Into My Creative Heart! He has been teaching me to Love this part of myself even when it doesn’t make sense to more “typical” parents, leaders and business owners. He is helping me teach this Love and Acceptance to my kiddos as well. Helping me model this sense of Authenticity for them and my Soul Family.

He has been helping me illuminate these Skills and Interests so I may Cultivate a more Abundant Future for Myself, my Kiddos and those whom we work with.
