Feb 1st marks Imbolc. Others know it as Saint Brigid’s Day or Candlemas and Groundhog Day.

Imbolc is a day to Celebrate the Returning of the Sun and getting Ready for Spring! There are so many wonderful ways to Celebrate this Halfway Point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. This year, my Celebration will be a Ritual calling for Justice, Transformation, Healing and Protection for so many.

I got this idea from a Resistance Group I am in over on the book of faces. Here is the original graphic that many are Combining their Energies on Feb 1st. The creator of the idea is in the graphic too.

I have added on to this for my own Ritual and am including the changes I added Here:

Imbolc Ritual to Bring Healing, Purification and Divine Justice

Items needed:

3 Candles – 1 red, 1 white, 1 green. I use chime candles so they burn for about 1-2 hours
*you can mix this up. I use Color Symbology in my Rituals often. Red for Brigid’s Cleansing Fire as well as Igniting Speedy Justice, White for Purification and Divine Protection, Green for Healing and Compassion for all needing Justice.

Incense or Herbs to burn- I have some Lavendar Incense already infused with Protection Energies I will use. (kitchen herbs are wonderful to use in Spell and Ritual workings. No need to buy a bunch of stuff if you can’t. Just use what corresponds with your Intentions.)

Salt (in a small dish or cup. Table Salt is fine) to absorb and help you shed the unhelpful emotions and energies of shock, grief, hate, rage, etc…. **** These emotions are VALID! However, they can consume us and cloud our judgment. So, shedding the extra and then putting what we feel to good use is Awesome way to Ignite these workings!)

You may add anything else you wish for your own working. I find it handy to write down my intentions before so I can read them out loud during the Ritual. I tend to add some soothing music (or anything that helps me get into the Energy of the Ritual)

When all is ready, light your candles, herbs, incense, etc….

Ask your Spiritual Team for their aid in this Ritual.

Focus your mind to your Intentions and whom they are supporting. Meditate on them or just say them out loud. Breathe and Relax as you do so.

I will be asking for Goddess Brigid’s aid. As well as all others who also have sway in Justice, Protection and Healing. I will be focusing on the names listed below and those who have been victimized by fascism. I also send the Energy I channel to aid those who are needing it during the Ritual.

Once done, do a small Grounding Practice. I tend to focus my Energy into the core of Mama Earth to help me stay Grounded and Balanced. You can hold a crystal, rock or even a small branch if that helps you. (I am not doing this outside as it is going to be snowing and icky out.)

Express your Gratitude to those you called upon for aid. Also please send Gratitude to Mama Earth for Supporting us in this and all things. This closes out the Ritual and sends the Energies where they need to go.

Allow the candles to burn all the way down if you will be in the room with them. Or- if you are short on time, snuff them out, and when you have time again, relight and refocus on your Intentions.

Make this Yours to fit Your Practice.

**I am still working on the wording of my Intentions. However, I tend to go plain speech and keep it simple. Others love to make their Intentions rhyme or use flowery language. Do what works for you and makes you feel like the Magickal Divine Being You Are!
